ARTIST STATEMENT

Hello! I’m Felicity and I grew up in Modesto, California. Ever since I was young, I’ve always loved creating things. School projects were secretly my favorite because it meant I got to make something. Gluing pieces together and seeing the final product was and still is such a satisfying feeling. Since I grew up in a technology world, I became more literate on the computer, which led me to eventually create digitally. For a while I didn’t consider a career path in the arts because I considered art more of a hobby, something to do in my free time. Eventually I realized that if I wanted to, I could make a career creating things, and once that was in my mind, it wouldn’t leave. I was dead set on studying graphic design because everything about the craft intrigued me and made me excited to learn. Although sometimes a career in business or science makes more sense, it’s the arts that make me excited. I don’t think that I am going to tire of creating anytime soon, possibilities seem endless.
